About Us

Heterophobia (2015) was an original, intermedial applied performance practice-as -research project for young people aged thirteen to eighteen yearsby Hannah Phillips. An interdisciplinary performance which fused live performance and digital technology in an attempt to challenge homophobia in schools. Heterophobia presented the struggle of one young heterosexual male, Ryan, trying to ‘come out’ in a homosexual world, a binaristic sexuality switch of the privileged and oppressed.

This website can be used as a resource for teachers and young people who have or have not seen the live performance of Heterophobia.
